With a growing supporter base, an engaged social media audience and a strong digital presence, we are looking for a passionate photographer who wants to develop their portfolio while becoming part of an ambitious football project.

Role Purpose

The Club Photographer will capture the story of City United through powerful and creative photography, documenting matchdays, player celebrations, behind-the-scenes moments and the club’s journey throughout the season.

Your photographs will be used across our website, social media platforms, promotional materials, sponsorship proposals, matchday graphics and club publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend home and away league and cup fixtures.
• Capture high-quality action shots throughout each match.
• Photograph pre-match preparations, warm-ups, team talks and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Capture celebrations, goals, key tackles, fan interactions and memorable moments.
• Take individual player and team photographs when required.
• Edit and deliver a selection of high-quality images with a fast turnaround after each fixture.
• Work closely with the club’s media and marketing team to support matchday content.
• Help build a visual archive documenting City United’s growth and achievements.
• Ensure all photography represents the club professionally and positively.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should:

• Own a camera suitable for sports photography.
• Have access to appropriate lenses for sports photography. A telephoto lens is preferred.
• Have a basic understanding of photography composition and camera settings.
• Be reliable and committed to attending fixtures.
• Have good time management skills.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Be passionate about football and sports photography.
• Be able to travel to both home and away matches.

Desirable Skills

• Previous sports or event photography experience.
• Experience using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop or other editing software.
• Knowledge of social media content creation.
• A creative eye for storytelling through photography.
• A portfolio of previous work, whether professional or personal.

Important Information

Please note that this is a voluntary role. While no salary is attached to the position, all approved transportation to and from official City United fixtures will be provided by the club.
