Our Charitable Commitment
City United FC is more than a football club — we are a community organisation rooted in the heart of Nottingham. Our charitable activity is guided by a belief that football can be a powerful vehicle for positive change, opportunity, and inclusion for everyone, regardless of background or circumstance.
Our Mission
We exist to develop individuals on and off the pitch. Through our charitable programmes, we aim to:
- Provide accessible football for people who may otherwise be excluded from the game
- Support mental health and wellbeing through sport and structured physical activity
- Deliver community outreach initiatives that tackle social isolation
- Create pathways for young people into education, employment, and training through sport
Sport England Partnership
City United FC is proudly supported by Sport England, reflecting our commitment to broadening participation in grassroots football across the Nottingham community. This partnership underpins our open sessions and wellbeing programmes that are open to all.
Community Programmes
Our current charitable and community programmes include:
- Open Sessions — Free and low-cost sessions open to anyone in the community, regardless of ability
- Wellbeing Football — Sessions designed to support mental health through connection and physical activity
- Youth Development — Our academy pathway gives young players the coaching, discipline, and mentorship they need to grow
Donations and Support
If you would like to support our charitable work, you can donate directly through our Donate & Support page. Every contribution goes directly towards sustaining and expanding our community programmes.
Transparency
We are committed to operating with transparency and accountability in all our charitable activities. Funds raised through donations and charitable partnerships are used solely to support the club’s community programmes and development initiatives.
